Hi, I'm Ashley — the photographer, storyteller, and creative behind Gypsy Eyes Photography.
Storytelling has always been at the heart of everything I create.
What started as a hobby with a camera at 15 years old quickly grew into a passion for wildlife, landscapes, and documenting the places and experiences that inspire me. Over time, photography became more than capturing beautiful moments — it became a way to share stories that matter.
From Photography to Storytelling
My passion for storytelling eventually led me into conservation, where I discovered the power that visual media has to educate, inspire, and create change. I've had the opportunity to publish conservation stories with Seen Blue Conservation and Planet Forward, where one of my written pieces earned Third Place for Best Written Story at the 2026 StoryFest. I also founded my own conservation storytelling platform — Art For Our Parks — to share stories that highlight the connection between people, wildlife, and the natural world.
Outside of my conservation work, you'll usually find me camping, exploring Colorado, or chasing the next adventure. I even created an adventure platform — Wildly Weird Adventures — dedicated to documenting local trips and encouraging others to explore the outdoors through meaningful storytelling.
